When my family immigrated to the U.S., they reshaped their identity by changing their last name. After surviving occupation and oppression in Anatolian Greece, they left Chios—a small Greek island off the coast of modern-day Turkey—and became the “Perry” family, a more American-sounding name. Assimilation came at a cost. They couldn’t fully embrace their roots or honor their heritage safely. Their story echoes many others.
My father passed away young, and this work is dedicated to him and those who came before me. Everything we create is rooted in the resilience of my four Mediterranean grandparents—Stam, Sophia, Dominick, and Anna.
Our work is for those who crave honest, unfiltered storytelling. It’s a celebration and exploration of identity—no longer hidden, but illuminated. We shine light on every part of humanity, finding connection, joy, and comfort in the truth of who we are.
